Construction on the Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road between FM 529 and North Eldridge Parkway in Houston requires the relocation of a bridge column used to support a ramp connecting the high occupancy vehicle lane to the Northwest Station Park & Ride facility. The ramp was closed March 23 so a new column and bridge structure can be reconstructed. It is expected to reopen around July 23. Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation advise drivers to use the West Little York Park & Ride Station until then. Overall work on Project F, which involves widening Hwy. 290 to five lanes in each direction, is about 70 percent complete.
