The city of New Braunfels is on trend to close the year strong for tax revenue, according to a monthly local sales tax allocations report from Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.
The report reveals that New Braunfels will receive $2.4 million in sales tax revenue in December, an increase of 1.98 percent from the same time last year. So far, the city’s sales tax revenue is up 4.48 percent from 2016, spiking to $30.1 million from $28.8 million.
Statewide, $443.5 million has been allocated among all cities this year, an 8.7 percent increase from December 2016.
