It is a busy week in The Woodlands area; here is what residents need to know to kick off the week:
1. The Conroe ISD school board of trustees holds its monthly meeting Tuesday. The board is expected to discuss and finalize possible names for Intermediate School 18 and approve a waiver for missed school days during Hurricane Harvey. 2. The Woodlands Township meets Thursday for the regular board of directors meeting. Agenda items of note include an update from the Drainage Task Force, an update on debris management following Hurricane Harvey and a discussion on property reassessments for damaged properties. 3. The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday hosts a candidate forum for The Woodlands Township board of directors leading up to the November election. 4. The Woodlands Township will also host a Community Safety Expo and salute to Hurricane Harvey heroes and volunteers on Saturday at Northshore Park. The event will also feature live music, meet-and-greets with safety personnel and K-9 law enforcement demonstrations. Noon-3 p.m. Free.
