- Richmond residents are invited to have lunch at the Watcha Cravin Food Truck at the Richmond Central Fire Station Friday for the city’s weekly Food Truck Friday event. Watcha Cravin offers loaded mac and cheese, fish tacos, chicken tenders and burgers. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. 200 Houston St., Richmond.
- The Fort Bend Museum will host an Edwardian Life tour of the 1883 John and Lottie Moore Home as part of the Children’s Summer History Fridays series. Children can enjoy historic games on the front lawn following the tour. All ages are welcome. Tickets are $4 for children who are members of the museum and $6 for children who are nonmembers. - Veterans are invited to attend a free legal clinic Saturday at the Richmond VA Outpatient Clinic. Any veteran or spouse of a deceased veteran who attends will have access to free legal counsel from volunteer attorneys in various areas of law that range from family, wills and probate to disability and veteran’s benefits. Fort Bend Lawyers Care, the Fort Bend County Bar Association and the Houston Bar Foundation’s Veterans Legal Initiative are providing the clinic as a public service. - Lamar CISD is hosting a Hope on the Brazos Back to School Fair Saturday at the Old Jane Long Elementary Gym and Common Threads. While supplies last, backpacks with school supplies will be given to children in grades Pre-K through 12. An immunization clinic will also be on site; copies of previous immunization records must be provided. Assistance will be provided to parents that need help completing LCISD beginning of the year paperwork. The fair will feature snow cones, face painting and popcorn. - The George Ranch Historical Park is hosting its offer a Hispanic-themed menu for its Saturday Historic Lunches. Each week the meals are offered at one of seven different historic venues, such as the Davis Mansion or the Bachelor House. - Move Dance and Fitness will host celebrity choreographer Alexa Moffett Saturday for a two-hour contemporary dance class for National Dance Day.
