Transportation1. Dallas North Tollway expansion Daily and nightly lane closures are expected to continue as the Dallas North Tollway widening project continues stretching from SH 121 to the President George Bush Turnpike. Most construction will allow for continued traffic flow, although crew work occasionally requires larger shutdowns, including work at Legacy Drive in June that closed all lanes to the public near that stretch of the tollway. When complete, the DNT will have four tolled lanes in each direction instead of three. In the meantime, speed limits along the DNT have been lowered to 60 mph, and drivers can expect various lane closures throughout the remainder of the project. Timeline: June 2015-2018 Cost: $281 million Funding source: North Texas Tollway Authority

2. Parker Road repairs Construction crews are working westbound on Parker Road from Mission Ridge to Coit roads after rains in recent weeks delayed portions of the project. Drivers in the area can expect one westbound lane closed daily with an additional lane closed weekdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The complete project will run along Parker Road from Coit to Custer roads. Timeline: summer 2016-end of summer 2017 (total project) Cost: $2.2 million Funding source: city of Plano

3. Ohio Drive repairs Repairs along Ohio Drive are expected to continue with construction crews working northbound between Spring Creek Parkway and Legacy Drive. All northbound lanes along this stretch will be closed. Crews will continue working northbound toward SH 121 then loop back southbound working from SH 121 to the President George Bush Turnpike. As with the Parker Road repairs project, rains in recent weeks delayed portions of this project. Each phase is expected to last about two weeks. Timeline: February-September Cost: $3.8 million Funding source: city of Plano

4. Independence Parkway repairs Construction continues along Independence Parkway for concrete repairs after recent rainy weather caused project delays. Crews will work this month on north- and southbound lanes between Parkhaven Drive and Park Boulevard.
