1. Independence Parkway

The city of Frisco plans to widen Independence Parkway from four lanes to six lanes. Construction will take place from SH 121 to Main Street. The design phase is expected to begin January 2018, and construction will start October 2018. Timeline: October 2018-October 2019 Cost: TBD Funding source: TBD

2. Lebanon Road

Construction to widen Lebanon Road from four to six lanes will begin this summer. The city will widen the roadway to construct a 24-foot wastewater force main line. The widening project will stretch from Starwood Drive to 4th Army Drive. Timeline: July 2017-July 2018 Cost: $9 million Funding source: city of Frisco

3. Ohio Drive roundabouts

Construction on the Ohio Drive and Warren Parkway roundabout will begin this fall. The roundabout will replace the existing four-way stop. The project is in the design phase.

The city of Frisco also has plans to build two more roundabouts along Ohio Drive at Stonecrest Road and Gaylord Parkway. The design phase for both projects will begin in summer 2018 with construction starting in spring 2019. 4. FM 423 widening

Construction is almost complete on the Frisco section of FM 423. The roadway is being widened from four lanes to six from US 380 to Eldorado Parkway. The project is projected to be completed this summer.

Construction on FM 423 from Stewarts Creek Road to SH 121 is also being widened from two to six or eight lanes. This section is 82 percent complete with an estimated completion for this fall.
