1. Cypresswood Drive improvements
A joint participation project between the Texas Department of Transportation and Harris County, the project aims to mitigate congestion and improve air quality as well as provide traffic signal improvements between Holzwarth Road and FM 1960. Proposed improvements include traffic signal system installations, median modifications and turn-lane changes. Harris County will fund the corridor design efforts for Cypresswood Drive and fund 20 percent of the construction costs. Intersections proposed for signalization on Cypresswood Drive include Lockridge, Whitehood, Breckenridge Forest, Homestead Pass, Monteith and Maplegate drives as well as Spring Mill Lane. The project is in the study phase.

2. Gosling Road widening segment 1
Segment 1 of Gosling Road construction is between Spring Stuebner and Mossy Oaks roads. Improvements include widening Gosling Road from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a five-lane pavement section between Spring Stuebner Road and the Grand Parkway and a four-lane pavement section with a 14-foot-wide median between the Grand Parkway and West Mossy Oaks Road. The construction contract was awarded to Allgood Construction on Aug. 9, and Harris County issued the notice to proceed on construction. Construction began Oct. 3, and the contract allows for 360 days for completion.

3. Gosling Road widening segments 2, 3
Segment 2 of the project includes a widening from two to four lanes between West Mossy Oaks and West Rayford roads. Segment 3 is a widening of Gosling Road from two to four lanes between West Rayford Road and north of Creekside Forest Drive. Segments 2 and 3 are in the design phase, and Harris County expects to put the projects up for bid beginning in the first quarter of 2017. Segment 2 is a 22-month construction contract, and Segment 3 is a 12-month project.

4. Spring Stuebner Road widening
The project will widen Spring Stuebner Road from two lanes to four lanes west of I-45. It is in the study phase, and the alignment, drainage and environmental assessment are being established. Harris County plans to put it out for bid sometime in 2017.

5. TC Jester Boulevard traffic signal installation
The project installed 10 traffic signals on TC Jester Boulevard between FM 1960 and FM 2920. The light at the Spring Creek Oaks intersection is due to be activated in October.
