The population in Round Rock has boomed, and more residents mean more congestion on the roads. The city has created a transportation master plan to address current transportation issues in the city and set a proactive policy for future development. Now the city is looking for public feedback. The city of Round Rock transportation department will host a neighborhood workshop Oct. 12 from 6-8 p.m. in the Robertson Elementary cafeteria, 1415 Bayland St., Round Rock. The department will have employees on site to explain the plan and field questions from the public about the future of transportation in the city. Some of the areas the TMP touches are local road improvements and expansion as well as changes to the I-35 corridor. Improvements in pedestrian mobility, bicycle provisions and public transit are also woven into the plan. In addition to the workshop, and for those who may not be able to attend the event, the city is asking residents to visit their website to view the TMP and to provide feedback by completing an online survey.
