Development highlightsDevelopers are turning dirt throughout Frisco. Some developments are for medical and office use, and some are large apartment/townhome communities or mixed-use developments. The following are some development highlights of different commercial and residential projects coming soon.

1. Aspens at Wade Park

Aspens at Wade Park broke ground in November and is under construction. The senior living apartment complex will be located on John Hickman Parkway south of Legendary Drive. The complex will have 162 units and the property is 13,000 square feet in size. The complex is expected to be finished by February 2017.

2. BlueWave Medical Plaza

A two-story medical office building is under construction on the northeast corner of Legacy Drive and

Warren Parkway. Construction began in September and the building is expected to be complete by May. The building has more than 11,000 square feet of space.

3. Frisco Crossing

Frisco Crossing is an 83-acre development on the southwest corner of US 380 and FM 423 recently approved by Frisco City

Council. The development is planned to have retail—including big-box stores—restaurants, multifamily living, single-family living and green space.

4. Frisco Summit

Frisco Summit apartments began construction Jan. 4 on the southwest corner of Ohio Drive and Stone

Crest Road. The first phase of the project is expected to be ready for residents in spring 2017. The apartment complex will have a total of 373 units and will have 2,000 square feet of retail space. The apartment complex will wrap around a four-story parking garage.

5. Jefferson Stonebriar

Jefferson Stonebriar apartments are under construction on the northeast corner of Ohio Drive and Gaylord. Construction began in July and is expected to be finished by

March 2017. The new apartments will have a total of 424 units, including townhomes. The property spans about 9 acres and includes a six-story parking garage.

6. Preston Circle Office Park

The office park is located on the northeast corner of John Hickman and Legendary. The project broke ground Jan. 15, and the first phase will open this fall. The office park will have 48 office condos.

7. JC Professional Center

A two-story office building at 6371 Preston Road is under construction. The building is expected to be complete by the end of May. The building, which broke ground in late summer, is Phase 2 of the JC Professional Center. The building has 23,300 square feet.

8. Victory at Stonebriar

Construction continues for phases 2 and 3 of the Victory at Stonebriar office/medical park on the northwest corner of Legacy and Warren. Phase 2 will include two medical buildings ranging between 9,000-10,000 square feet and is expected to be finished by the end of May. Phase 3 is a retail building with about 15,000 square feet and is expected to be finished by the end of 2016.
