The Alvin Community College board of regents will consider calling for a May bond election at its Feb. 18 meeting, officials confirmed.
The agenda item follows a presentation on the final proposal of ACC’s Facilities Master Plan, which will establish guidelines for future needs. The board reviewed a draft of the plan Jan. 28.
While the two action items are separate, any potential bond package would adhere to an approved Facilities Master Plan, officials said.
Members of the college’s Long Range Facility Committee recommended additional facilities at the January meeting, including a west-side campus. The projects recommended by the committee could be included in a possible May bond package, officials said.
