Three finalists were also selected to represent LSC-University Park:

“Small businesses play a key role in the economic vitality of communities across the country,” said Amos McDonald with BBVA Compass, the title sponsor of the awards for the past three years. “[We are] proud to recognize the valuable contributions of these courageous entrepreneurs who make a positive impact in our communities.”
The finalists were selected by the LSC Small Business Development Center Advisory Council from a pool of nominees submitted by members of the community. One winner at each campus will be selected based on leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, business growth and contribution to the community, LSCS officials said.
Winners of the award will be named at the 29th Annual Small Business of the Year awards banquet Nov. 19 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands. For tickets or more information about the awards banquet, contact the SBDC at 832-813-6674.
