City council members of Bee Cave, Lakeway, Rollingwood and West Lake Hills spent the latter part of August and all of September projecting revenues and calculating expenses for fiscal year 2015-16 before each adopted a budget and property tax rate for the coming year. Rollingwood’s tax rate was adopted Oct. 5, after this edition went to press.
As a result, Bee Cave citizens will have the lowest property tax rate in the Lake Travis/Westlake area for FY 2015-16—$0.02 per $100 valuation—with Rollingwood’s draft tax rate at $0.2101 per $100 valuation, the highest rate in the area.
