Patriotism will be on display at the eighth Annual Fourth of July Celebration, presented by Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.

The event has always been a popular one for LaCenterra, said Lindsay Kaye, LaCenterra director of marketing and public relations.

“We have about 15,000-20,000 people per year,” Kaye said. “This is our biggest event of the year.”

The Fourth of July Celebration is popular because the music, food and attractions appeal to people of all ages, Kaye said.

The celebration kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with a Kids Patriotic Bike Parade. Kids can decorate their bikes with all-American flare to participate in the parade.

No registration is required. Kaye said families should gather at the main courtyard at 4 p.m. to participate.

“We parade down to Central Green Park and have a judging,” Kaye said. “A lot of the kids last year dressed up as well.”

After the parade, kids can play in the interactive Kids Zone at 5:30 p.m.

“The Kids Zone will have all kinds of fun activities,” Kaye said.

The play area, hosted by Pump It Up, will have bounce houses, jugglers, stilt walkers, face painting, balloon art, photo booths and a performance by Move Dance and Fitness Center.

Parents can enjoy the musical acts the event has to offer, Kaye said.

Sheila Marshall, a country artist who was a top-10 finalist on TV’s “Nashville Star,” will perform from 5:30-7 p.m. Chris Boss will follow from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Boss released his third album, “Evolution,” in April and has opened for bands such as KISS.

The celebration concludes with a fireworks show that starts at approximately 9:15 p.m., which is put on by Sky Wonder Pyrotechnics.

Overflow parking will be available for free at Cinco Ranch High School and Cinco Ranch Branch Library, Kaye said.
