Pedicabs will face new regulations and restrictions on permits based on City Council's ruling Dec. 11.

The moratorium has been lifted on granting pedicab permits—until the number of granted permits dips to 300. Pedicab operators who have trailer setups will be required to switch to tricycle-anchored pedicabs by July 31, 2016. No new permits will be given to trailer-anchored pedicabs with the moratorium now lifted.
