First phase of mixed-use project expected to open in fall 2016



Wade Park, the 175-acre, $1.6 billion mixed-use project off the Dallas North Tollway, has announced the signing of the upscale Hotel ZaZa, which will feature 175 luxury rooms, a pool with bars and cabanas, and a ZaSpa.

Thomas Land & Development, the company developing the Wade Park project, also released new renderings as well as announced construction plans and partners.



The development on the southeast corner of Lebanon Road and the DNT broke ground in August. Site grading is in the works, construction is expected to begin in the spring and the first phase of Wade Park is expected to open in fall 2016.



TLD has previously announced lease signings at Wade Park for a 45,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market, iPic Theaters and Pinstripes, a dining and entertainment venue.



Wade Park officials said they are also in negotiations for a 350-room executive conference and meeting hotel as well as an upscale limited-service hotel.



Bristol Development will assist with the design, construction and marketing of the apartments, condos and houses.



The general contractor is Dallas-based Balfour Beatty.



Architecture work for the development is being done by Atlanta-based company Wakefield Beasley & Associates and Dallas-based 5G Studios.



Dallas-based SWA is leading the landscape and hardscape design along with Frisco-based Kimley Horn & Associates. Lighting details are being developed by Atlanta-based PHA Lighting.



Greenstone Properties is responsible for the office space development, marketing and leasing in partnership with Peloton Commercial Real Estate.
