Republican Juli Anne Luke has won the Denton County Clerk race with 82.64 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results.
Her opponent, Green Party candidate Schyler Butler, received 17.36 percent of the votes with all precincts reporting.

Republican Juli Anne Luke is leading the Denton County Clerk race, beating out Green Party candidate Schyler Butler, according to unofficial results.
Luke has 82.36 percent of the votes while Butler has 17.64 percent of the votes with 81 of 158 precincts reporting.
Luke said she will never forget the support she received from voters.
"I assure you, I will have a presence in the Frisco community as well as countywide as your next county clerk and not forget that I work for the taxpayers of Denton County," she said.
Luke said she plans to restructure the clerk's office once her term begins.
"I've seen where some changes can be made to make it run more cost efficiently," she said. "I intend to cut the travel budget and just work more cooperatively with other department heads and elected officials."

Luke has 82.3 percent of the votes while Butler has 17.7 percent of the votes so far.
Luke has served in the county clerk's office for nine years on the criminal side. Prior to that, Luke worked for Lewisville ISD coordinating the driver education program.
