Trinity Episcopal School in West Lake Hills announced Jan. 8 that Marie Kidd has been named as its next head of school effective July 1. Kidd currently serves as head of school at Crestview Preparatory School in La Canada, Calif., and will replace Pat Adams, who has served as head of school for the past four years.

Kidd has held a variety of jobs in the education field including teaching high school math and various elementary school grades.

"Marie Kidd is a nationally respected educator with more than 35 years of experience who is dedicated to creating environments where students excel and great teachers flourish," Trinity board Chairwoman Maryann Bell said in a news release. "Marie is committed to Trinity's values, and she understands the nature of our community. Our board is delighted that we have hired such a distinguished leader as our school enters its 16th academic year."
