According to city officials, Coit Road between Main Street and Eldorado Parkway will open the evening of Dec. 23.

However, construction continues and only one lane will be open to traffic in each direction while road crews work in the median. Southbound traffic will be shifted to the east side of the median as it approaches Main Street, so northbound and southbound traffic will share the east half of the road at the intersection.

With the completion, the intersections of Eldorado Parkway and Coit Road and Main Street and Coit road will begin traveling through both intersections and all turning movements will be possible.

Motorists are urged to use caution at the intersections as drivers get used to the new traffic patterns and the different operation of the traffic signals.
