The Westlake High School Health Occupations Students of America and Certified Emergency Response Training club offered CPR lessons to 152 fellow classmates during class periods April 16.
The clubs partnered with Take Heart Austin aiming to teach CPR to 50 percent of Austin.
Take 10, a 10-minute training session, teaches compression-only CPR with the goal of getting others to train their peers. THA hopes to have 500,000 people trained by 2020, said Calyste Corrington, community outreach coordinator for THA.
