A 10-year, $100,000 name rights agreement to call Miracle Field at Bicentennial Park in Southlake "Texas Rangers Miracle League Field" was approved Tuesday by the City Council.

According to the council agenda packet, the city has been working with Miracle League of Southlake and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation for six months on the proposed agreement.

The naming rights start on grand opening day at the field, expected in September 2014.

In exchange for naming rights, the foundation plans to donate $100,000 to the Miracle League of Southlake. The league agrees to pay the city $90,000 and keep $10,000 as a finder's fee, part of the city's sponsorship policy.

Under the agreement, the name will be displayed prominently at the main entrance to the field, and two logos in each dugout. Also, three Texas Rangers banners will be on the scoreboard.
