A great way to begin your day is with a breakfast that will give you energy for the day. Try starting out a Gourmet Bakery and Cafe at 9950 Woodlands Parkway in the Village of Sterling Ridge where owner Yasmina and Ifel Costa have created an authentic French bakery that will transport you through time and place. If you would like to feel more at home, a more traditional breakfast is served on weekends at Dosey Doe's rustic 150-year-old wooden barn at 25911 I-45 N.
After your satisfying breakfast, kick your energy level into high gear with your daily workout while enjoying the spectacular scenery throughout The Woodlands. A jog through the Village of Panther Creek, East Shore and Town Center provides views of Lake Woodlands, the Waterway, impressive modern and contemporary architecture and some of The Woodlands most peaceful forested trails.
One of The Woodlands most abundant amenities is its multitude of family-oriented activities. Pack up the kids and let them bounce and jump to their heart's delight at Wonderwild Indoor Playground in the Grogan's Mill Village Center. A more calming activity can be found at Potteryland Studios at 25166 Grogan's Park Drive where kids can paint their own pottery. And if you haven't had enough golf, for a totally unique experience, check out Shankz Blacklight Miniature Golf at 3091 College Park Drive.
Those looking for an exercise less grueling can take a kayaking trip along the Waterway via the Riva Row Boat House at 2101 Riva Row. A one-hour kayaking trip will take you west along the Waterway to the eastern edge of Lake Woodlands and back. And of course a round on one of the many highly-acclaimed golf courses throughout the community, such as The Tournament Course, The Oaks or Panther Trails, is away to take in one of the most popular Woodlands attractions.
Following your morning workout, a swim, a row, or a round, take your midday break at one of The Woodlands' many cafes or sandwich shops, such as Brooklyn Bagel Cafe, which operates two locations, one in the College Park Plaza along Hwy. 242 and in in the Panther Creek Village Center.Grimaldi's Pizzeria at 20 Waterway provides excellent people-watching opportunities during busy weekend events in Town Center. Families can also pack up a picnic basket and visit one of The Woodlands' 120 parks, including the spacious Town Green Park along the Waterway.
Deciding on a good place for dinner in The Woodlands is a daunting task. With hundreds of restaurants offering a vast array of cuisines, the selections are almost limitless. For both a culinary and culturally distinctive experience, visit The Olive Oil at 373 Sawdust Road, where diners can feast on large portions of authentic Greek and Mediterranean food while being entertained by belly dancers, plate breakers and European music. A more low-key experience, but equally as cultural, can be found at Schilleci's in Market Street where the French Quarter-inspired dcor and outstanding cajun dishes offer a change of pace from many of the Town Center restaurants.
As the sun sets and the day comes to a close, kick back and relax with a cocktail, beer or glass of wine. Two of the best outdoor patios that provide outstanding views can be found at The Goose's Acre, 21 Waterway Ave., and Landry's Seafood, 1212 Lake Robbin's Drive. The Goose's Acre is situated along a heavily-traveled portion of the Waterway and Landry's offers a stunning view of Lake Robbins in the evening.
And when the evening sun goes down, you'll find the late night crowd hanging around Waterway Avenue, where after-hours spots such as Bar Louie, Baker Street Pub and Grill, and the Exchange stay open late and cater to big crowds. This is where the hottest dance clubs in the North Houston area can be found, particularly at America's at 25 Waterway and Crush Wine Bar at 20 Waterway, where the rooftop club offers a bird's-eye view of the Waterway and Town Center.
