Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District Place 1 candidate Richard Hinckley announced today he is dropping out of the race.

"While my intent in running was to help guide the conversation, I have been unable to commit the time to actively campaign," he said in an email. "Since early March, I have been focused on the care of my father, who has since passed away."

Hinckley endorsed Kimberley Barber-Davis for the Place 1 position on the GCISD board of trustees.

"I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Rick Hinckley's father and I do appreciate his endorsement of my campaign," Barber-Davis said.
