The Round Rock Police Department has launched a new website which allows citizens to report nonemergencies online and to readily access public RRPD information.
The website, the Police-to-Citizen or P2C site, lets citizens report nonemergency incidents including burglary of a building, resident or vehicle; a theft that is not in progress; lost or found property; graffiti and illegal dumping of trash or littering, RRPD Public Information Officer Dee Carver said.
"Stolen cell phones are a good example—people get impatient waiting for the police to come and take a report, since phone companies usually want a police report," Carver said. "Now they can report that online and get a copy, which can be more convenient."
Citizens can also search for RRPD-related events, get a crash report, see arrests in Round Rock, see a daily bulletin and review a list of most-wanted persons in the area, Carver said.
There's also a general contact link where citizens can ask questions that don't have to involve a criminal event, Carver said.
