Burger University, the creation of partners Alan Grimsley and Rob May, is projected to open in March on the Georgetown Square at 119 W. Seventh St.

"[May] owns this building and has been wanting to do a burger restaurant for a couple of years now, and so we created a new concept together and we are putting it in here," Grimsley said.

The location, which previously housed another restaurant, Adi's Italian Village, will have a university-themed decor.

"It's going to be family-friendly and student-friendly—all around just a classic burger joint that serves nothing but the freshest ingredients and has a fun environment," he said.

Sides include handmade french fries, onion rings and milkshakes. Grimsley said he is in the process of applying for a liquor license for the restaurant.
