The $3 million Scott & White Clinic - Leander opened Jan. 23, bringing primary care and physical therapy services to Leander. The clinic is equipped with 16 examination rooms, two treatment rooms, on-site X-rays and a laboratory.

"By bringing physical therapy services to Leander, we can better serve our patients and bring them the care they need closer to home," said Bud Chumbley, the chief medical officer for Scott & White Healthcare, at the facility's groundbreaking in May 2011. "When we combine both doctors and therapists in one location, it is a win-win for both our patients and our physicians."

A ribbon cutting has been scheduled for Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. at the clinic, which is located at 1007 S. U.S. 183.
