New Caney ISD volunteer applications for the 2026-27 school year opened July 15, according to an online post from the district.
What you need to know
Volunteers can contribute to NCISD by supporting students, teachers and programs at various campuses, according to the district’s volunteer website page. The 2026-27 school year begins Aug. 6 for students.
To sign up as an NCISD volunteer, a community member must be 18 years or older, and annually:
- Complete an application
- Take an online orientation
- Pass a criminal history/background check
- Sign up for volunteer assignments once their application is approved
