Here are updates on several construction projects in the city of Richardson. This list is not comprehensive.
Upcoming projects
Greenville Avenue reconstruction
Project: Work will feature a full concrete reconstruction of Greenville Avenue from Centennial Boulevard to Huffhines Street. Also included will be sewer and water main improvements.
Update: Design for the project is around 60% complete, according to the city’s capital project tracker.
Campbell Road and University Parkway intersection work
Project: Crews will upgrade traffic signals and perform work on the intersection lanes at Campbell and University.
Update: The construction contract was awarded to JR West Texas Concrete, and construction is expected to begin in January.
Ongoing projects
Custer Parkway reconstruction
Project: The project is a full street reconstruction of the Custer Parkway from Campbell Road to Renner Road, including replacement of water and sewer lines and sidewalks.
Update: Pavement replacements on Custer from Lookout Drive to Canyon Creek Drive are ongoing and expected to finish in October. Work between the railroad just north of Cap Rock Drive and Campbell is expected to finish in November.
West Shore Drive, Fontana Avenue improvements
Project: Work consists of pavement, sidewalk and utility improvements on West Shore from Campbell Road to Arapaho Road and Fontana from West Shore to Meadow View Drive.
Update: Crews are currently replacing sewer lines on West Shore from Warren Way to Woodland Way and installing a new water line on Fontana.
