Officials with Tres Locos, a new Tex-Mex restaurant coming to Barker Cypress Road, said they are wrapping up the permitting process at the eatery and hope to open within the next few weeks. The restaurant is a joint venture between two Cy-Fair area restaurateurs—Andy Correa, who runs Andy's Kitchen on Mason Road, and Dominic Catalano, who runs The Original New York & Chicago Pizza Company, a new location of which opened recently on Hwy. 290 near Mueschke Road.

Correa said the partnership and friendship between he and Catalano formed when the two began to regularly eat at each other's restaurants, and the idea to open Tres Locos grew from there. Tres Locos is slated to open at 12361 Barker Cypress Road in the location where The Original New York & Chicago Pizza Company was formerly located.
