Paul and Doris Miller are slated to open a sixth location of The Union Kitchen this summer at the Boardwalk at Towne Lake, 9955 Barker Cypress Road, Ste. 104, Cypress, according to a May 1 press release. The eatery will replace the former Jaxton’s Grill House & Bar.
The 5,000-square-foot space will offer 200 indoor seats and 130 outdoor patio seats facing Towne Lake. Six TVs will be featured in the bar area, where garage doors will open up to lakefront views and live music from the Boardwalk.
The restaurant will also feature an open kitchen with a wood-burning grill serving up steak and fish dishes. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers, pizzas and weekend brunch are also on the menu at The Union Kitchen.
“We’ve been looking at the Cypress area for a long time,” Paul Miller said in a statement. “Between the property, the community and the unbeatable location on the lake, it all added up to a great opportunity. We’re excited to connect with the Towne Lake community, local sports teams and the Cy-Fair school district to make this a special gathering place for everyone at any time of day, whether they’re looking for lunch, happy hour, dinner, drinks or our signature weekend brunch.”
The Union Kitchen’s first location opened on Bellaire Boulevard in 2010 and now has additional locations throughout the Greater Houston area. A seventh location is planned for Katy this fall, officials said.
