Xscape Theaters, an Indiana-based movie theater, will make its Texas debut in The Woodlands this June, Xscape Theatres Marketing Coordinator Corry Hodges said.
The theater, located at 16051 Old Conroe Road, Conroe, near FM 1488, will be located at the border of Conroe, Magnolia and The Woodlands. Xscape Theatres' second Texas location in Katy off Fulshear Road will open in October, Hodges said.
The Woodlands theater will feature 12 screens, two of which are designated "Extreme Screens" with 70-foot widths, 4K digital projection and a wall-to-ceiling surround sound system. The 52,000-square-foot theater will also have electric, reclining seating for up to 1,530 guests and a lobby area with an expansive concession menu. Xscape Theatres company also hopes to obtain a permit to sell beer and wine, Hodges said.
The Indiana-based movie theater chain also has locations in Ohio, Kentucky, New Jersey, Maryland and Florida.
