Shield Bearer Executive Director Roy Wooten is leaving his position effective April 5, the board of directors announced in a March 13 news release. The position will be filled by interim Executive Director Melissa Rotholz, who will assume the role April 6.

Wooten has served in his position since 2007 and helped grow the organization from a small staff of two part-time counselors in one location to a team of over 30 staff in six different locations, according to the news release. Wooten will be transitioning into the executive director position of The Crucible Project, an international Christian men’s movement.

Rotholz holds a bachelor of business administration in marketing from Texas State University and a master of science in organizational and human resource development from Abilene Christian University.
