Canopy by Hilton, a new boutique hotel, will break ground in June and open in January 2020 at 612 W. Sixth St., Austin.

The 140-room hotel will include an elevated pool deck with views of downtown Austin and a full-service restaurant.

"We wanted to deliver a project that both compliments the neighborhood while also elevating the West Sixth Street district," said Rick Singleton, founder of Austin-based Scenic Capitol Advisors, which owns the property.

The Hilton company has several other hotels in the area, including the Hilton Austin on East Fourth Street and the Hilton Austin Airport.
