There are several lane closures scheduled for portions of Hwy. 290 this weekend as construction continues on the highway.

Hwy. 290 eastbound from W. Little York Road to Fairbanks N. Houston will be closed from 9 p.m. Jan. 3 to 9 a.m. Jan. 4. Drivers can detour to the frontage road and re-enter the highway past Fairbanks N. Houston.

The northbound and southbound connector ramp from Beltway 8 to Hwy. 290 eastbound will be closed nightly from 9 p.m.–9 a.m. Jan. 3–5. Southbound travelers can detour to Hwy. 290 westbound and make a U-turn at Jones Road. Northbound drivers should detour to the W. Little York exit and turn right on W. Little York to Hwy. 290.

Additionally, Hwy. 290 eastbound from W. Little York to Hollister Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Jan. 4 to 9 a.m. Jan. 5. Drivers can detour to the frontage road and re-enter past W. 43rd Street. Hwy. 290 eastbound from Tidwell Road to 43rd Street will also be closed from 9 p.m. Jan. 5 to 5 a.m. Jan. 6. Drivers can detour to the frontage road and re-enter past W. 43rd Street.
