This is the first year voters will only be able to vote for trustees based on the district in which they live, as opposed to at large. This changes their title from position to district trustee. Luis Granados and incumbent David Vogt are competing for District 5. Granados has been involved with LSCS for two years. He has not previously served on the system’s board of trustees. Vogt has been involved with the college system for 19 years. Ron Trowbridge, who currently serves as board secretary in seat 8 will face District 7 incumbent and board chair Linda Good. Trowbridge has been involved with LSCS for 10 years and was elected as a trustee in 2013. Good, a 22-year resident of Montgomery County, has been involved with the college system for 14 years and was elected to serve on the board of trustees in 2010.
