There are several events taking place through June 15 in the Tomball and Magnolia area, including summer reading and crafting events. Check out a few of them below. This list is not comprehensive.

LSC-Tomball Community Library Reading Education Assistance Dogs

Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library is holding a children's reading event with The Reading Education Assistance Dogs. The program helps children improve their reading skills with the assistance of therapy dogs. The event is for children 4-12 years old accompanied by their parents and requires registration.

LSC-Tomball Community Library Summer Reading Program Kickoff

Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library’s reading program is beginning with an “Adventure Begins at Your Library” theme. This event will kick off with a community art project, crafts and activities.

Tomball Retirement Center Car Show

The Tomball Retirement Center is holding a vintage car show with Champion Donut Car Club. The event will feature vintage cars, hot dogs, chips, drinks and vendors.

The Bluebonnet Tasting Room Paint and Sip



The Bluebonnet Tasting Room invites guests to paint a beach scene with all supplies included in the fee.

Glassblowing Houston Summer Camp

Glassblowing Houston is holding two summer camp sessions for anyone ages 14 and up interested in learning how to create glass art.

Tomball Museum Center’s Quilt and Crafters Festival

Tomball Museum Center’s Quilt and Crafters Festival will feature a display of quilts with crafts available to purchase and a silent auction at the museum grounds.

Magnolia Fire Department Blood Drive

The Magnolia Fire Department is holding a blood drive sponsored by Gulf Coast Blood Center. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred. All donors will receive a free beach towel donated by the Gulf Coast Blood Center.

Tomball Methodist Church Blood Drive



The Tomball Methodist Church is holding a blood drive for those interested in donating blood. A free beach towel will be given to each donor.

Saints Open Golf Tournament

Salem Lutheran Church is holding an open golf tournament that will benefit the athletic program at Salem Lutheran School.
