Magnolia ISD President Chuck Adcox announced the resignation of Kristi Baker from the board of trustees during a school board meeting Nov. 14.

"We appreciate your service, we truly do, and it's been an honor to be up here and work with you," Adcox said. "I just can't thank you enough."

Baker holds Position 4 and has been on the school board since 2012. According to Adcox, members of the board will submit to the president names of people they recommend fill the position. There will be a discussion during an executive session, and then someone will be appointed to fill the vacant position.

"I could not have been happier to have spent the years here, and I'm still going to be around, so you know where to find me," Baker said during the meeting.
