Portions of Hwy. 249 are closed this week, Oct. 9-13.
The Texas Department of Transportation has announced several lane closures in the Greater Tomball area this week, according to
Houston Tran Star.
Brown Road
- The eastbound lane between Hwy. 249 and Quinn Road is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.
- According to the city of Tomball, Brown Road is also closed on the west side of Hwy. 249 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. The eastbound lane is closed between the apartment complex, Park at Spring Creek, and Hwy. 249, for a temporary widening project of the roadway.
Hwy. 249
- The outside southbound lane between Zion Road and Baker Drive is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.
- The northbound frontage road between FM 2920 and Hicks Road is closed continuously until noon on Oct. 21. Drivers can detour from Hicks Road by turning left onto Quinn Road, left onto Brown Road and left onto Hwy. 249.
- The outside northbound lane between Brown Road and Spring Creek is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday.
