From food trucks to adoptable animals, here are four events to attend this weekend:

Friday, June 23
1. 403 Eats hosts a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday evening as a new member of the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce. The event is open to the public and features KSTAR Country Radio broadcasting on-site from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and various food truck specials. Lyndley's, The Greek Squad, Pocket to Me, Cousins Maine Lobster, Tacos Ole and Tikiz Shaved Ice will each offer one item for $4.03 beginning at 4:03 p.m. Lunch specials are available from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. as well. 5 p.m. (ribbon cutting ceremony). 2. District 2•4•9 hosts live music artists on Friday and Saturday evenings. Morgan McKay performs at 9 p.m. on Friday, and Daryle Singletary and Andy Griggs perform at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday, June 24
3. A benefit event called "Help Patty Up" will be held at Unity Park on Saturday, featuring live and silent auctions, live music, children's activities and barbecue plates for purchase. Funds from the event go to support local resident Patty Havlin, a former teacher and coach for special needs children in Magnolia ISD who became paralyzed last fall. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. $10 (barbecue plate). 4. Mia's Corner Pet Boutique celebrates its relocation to Houston St., Tomball, with a raffle and adoption event Saturday. Hosted in part with For Peetey's Sake Dog and Cat Rescue, the event includes adoptable dogs on-site and a raffle for various gift certificates.
