Thursday, March 16 through Sunday, March 26
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
The multi-week event features food, concerts, rodeo events and children’s activities. This weekend’s headlining performers include Luke Bryan (Thursday), Fifth Harmony (Friday), Willie Nelson (Saturday), Banda El Recodo (Sunday) and Siggno (Sunday). Weekend performers take the stage around 5:45 p.m., following each evening’s rodeo events. Before heading to the rodeo, find parking information, ticket prices and event times here. Friday, March 17-Sunday, March 19
‘The Producers’

Saturday, March 18
Family fun fest
Houston Area Shows presents The Woodlands Family Fun Fest at Town Green Park. The family-friendly festival features rides, games, live performances, food vendors, a reptile ranch and a free children’s workshop. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free (admission). Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands.

Saturday, March 18
Volunteer work day
Buffalo Bayou Partnership hosts a community-wide volunteer work day at Buffalo Bayou Park. Volunteers—groups and individuals—will help with tasks, such as trash pick-up, mulching and weed removal, to clean up the park. The BBP provides all necessary tools, but volunteers should bring work gloves. To participate, volunteers must complete an online volunteer waiver. 8:30-11:30 a.m. Free. Saturday, March 18
Houston Zydeco Fest
The one-day festival showcases Zydeco music from Texas and Louisiana. Food and drink vendors are also available. $15 (general admission). 12:30 p.m.-10 p.m. Jones Plaza, 600 Louisiana Street, Houston.
