Rayford Road is being expanded from four to six lanes from Richards Road to the Grand Parkway. The project also includes constructing a six-lane bridge over the Union Pacific Corp. railroad, installing new traffic signals and adding a raised median.

Concrete pouring on all eastbound lanes of the bridge and Rayford Access was completed in February. The final layer of asphalt was completed in February and median installation was underway, according to the office of Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack.
