If you are planning on traveling around Montgomery County this weekend, take note of some scheduled lane closures in The Woodlands area before planning your route.
The following lane closures have been scheduled, according to officials with the Texas Department of Transportation and the Harris County Toll Road Authority:
- I-45 northbound from Woodlands Parkway/Robinson Road to Hwy. 242 will have two alternate lanes closed overnight beginning 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 until noon Sunday, Oct. 2.
- I-45 southbound from South Loop 336 to FM 1960 will have one inside lane closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, Oct. 7.
- Hwy. 242 eastbound and westbound from I-45 to Windvale Drive in The Woodlands will have one alternate lane closed nightly from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 1.
- Hwy. 242 eastbound and westbound from San Jacinto River to FM 1485 in Conroe will have one alternate lane closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. and daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 30.
Scheduled closures are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen events, according to TxDOT officials. A listing of all scheduled I-45 lane closures can be viewed online at
