A number of The Woodlands-area community organizations held events in February celebrating their work and raising money for their efforts. Here is a look at several of those organizations and how they celebrated this year.

  • The Rotary Club of The Woodlands held the White Tie and Tiara Ball, its annual An Evening of Elegance celebration, on Feb. 10. The Rotary Club of The Woodlands celebrates its 50th anniversary this July. The event, presented by TDECU, also honored recently retired Lone Star College System Chancellor Stephen Head and Linda Head. The Rotary Club focuses on community and humanitarian service, according to its website.
  • Montgomery County Food Bank held its Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala on Feb. 17 presented by Woodforest National Bank. The event raises funds for its mission to serve food insecure children, families and seniors. The event theme was “On the Boardwalk." Event honorees included the late Jim Blair, who received the 2024 Legacy Award; Entergy Texas, which received the 2024 Community Partner Award; Sacred Heart Saint Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry, which was named the 2024 Partner Agency of the Year; and Joe Czopek, the 2024 volunteer of the year.

The American Heart Association also held its Montgomery County Heart Ball at The Woodlands Marriott Hotel and Convention Center on Feb. 24. The annual event supports the mission of the AHA to fight heart disease and strokes. The theme of the event this year was "From the Tiniest Hearts to the Most Mature."
