According to Conroe ISD and Texas Education Agency, CISD has seen about 5.5% growth in enrollment since 2018-19 despite a slight decrease in 2020-21. As of the start of the 2021-22 school year, CISD has 64 campuses with a projected 66,298 students and 4,110 teachers.




A total of 32% of CISD campuses have a higher percentage of economically disadvantaged students than the state average.


According to the district, all district employees will receive a 3% raise in the 2021-22 school year, but bus drivers will receive a 5% raise. The minimum starting salary in the district will be $12 per hour, and the new teacher salary will be $58,500.


CISD had a 84% in-person enrollment during the 2020-21 school year. Legislation providing funds for virtual schooling for the 2021-22 school year did not pass the Texas Legislature in this year's regular session, so CISD opted out of the program. However, the district announced on Aug. 6 that CISD will offer a virtual option for households with unique and special circumstances,
