Plantonic Friends Nursery is celebrating its five-year anniversary this May. Offering a variety of plants and gardening tips to help support monarch butterfly populations, Plantonic Friends Nursery focuses on providing native plants to local residents that are safe for monarch butterflies and promote their population growth.

“People come from all around Houston to visit me because I’m the only one that has the different varieties of milkweed,” owner Alejandro Cardenas said. “All of my plants are either native or very well adapted to the area.”
