Local nonprofit GirlTALK TX has organized a vendor market with colorful tents, lively music, food, games and a festive atmosphere to celebrate mothers in Missouri City. The Houston Astros Triple-A Affiliate minor league baseball team will face-off against Oklahoma City at Constellation Field this spring. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., and the first 2,000 fans will receive a replica jersey.Sugar Land Jazz Fest

Boney James, Robert Glasper and Terrace Martin headline this two-day music showcase at The Crown Festival Park in Sugar Land. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.Tank and the R&B Money Tour


Grammy-nominated R&B recording artist Tank gained popularity in the 1990s for hit singles "Maybe I Deserve" and "Slowly." He brings musicians Carl Thomas and Keri Hilson to the Smart Financial Centre for a night of contemporary rhythm and blues music.Shrimp and Spice

Sugar Land Rotary Club presents this family-friendly fundraising event at Constellation Field that features a Food Truck Alley, live music, vendors, and live and silent auctions. Parking is free, and VIP tickets come with seating, a catered shrimp meal and full event access.Movies on the Square: Captain America

Sugar Land Town Square restaurants will be set up in the plaza of the retail center to accommodate viewing of Marvel film “Captain America: The First Avenger.” Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to this free event.
