The specifics
The hospital’s women’s services expansion project is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2024 and will include:
- An expanded neonatal intensive care unit with nine rooms consisting of 24 beds, 15 bays and an isolation room
- An expanded labor and delivery unit with four new rooms with Americans With Disabilities Act-accessible options as well as corridor renovations for the labor and delivery hall
- An expanded cesarean section area with expanded waiting room, recovery bays, nurse station and additional facilities
- An expanded well-baby nursery with 15 bassinets and a renovation of the continuing care nursery
- An expanded hybrid operating room, including a room for heart procedures with advanced imaging and another for neurosurgery and general procedures; each includes anesthesia space
- A renovated outpatient operating room with five upgraded rooms with new medical equipment, updated lighting, surgical tables and an improved operation station
- 100 new patient parking spaces
- Four electric car charging stations
