Some context
St. Luke’s Health hospitals rebranded to include the CommonSpirit name across Texas this month, according to a press release. The Vintage location will continue to partner with Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group, per the release.
Elizabeth Ortega, president of CommonSpirit - St. Luke's Hospital - Vintage, said the rebrand marks “a moment of transition, identity — and most importantly — alignment.”
“CommonSpirit is more than a brand name,” Ortega said. “It’s a promise. It represents our collective commitment to health equity, to the healing power of humanity and to a ministry that spans the entire country.”
The new name also comes with a change in religious affiliation, switching from Episcopal to Catholic, Chief Nursing officer Jennifer Cook said.
“This name reaffirms our commitment to the common good, and to the sacred truth that while our gifts are many, it is the same spirit that calls us to serve all,” Cook said.
