The Spring and Klein community has grown by more than 46,787 residents—or about 13%—from 2016-21, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey five-year estimates released Dec. 8.

In 2021, the Spring and Klein area's nine ZIP codes—77066, 77068, 77069, 77070, 77090, 77373, 77379, 77388 and 77389—had a population of 408,979, while the population was 362,192 in 2016.
During this timeframe, the median household income also increased from $71,428 to $78,422. In 2021, the number of residents with an education level of high school diploma or higher was 237,476, which represented about 58% of the population.

As of 2021, the median age of Spring and Klein residents was 34.7 with the age zero-19 group making up the largest segment of the population at about 30%.

When it comes to race and ethnicity, the white population remains the largest in Spring at 39.9%, followed by Hispanic or Latino with 30.4%, and Black with 19.1%.
