5 things to know this weekend in Spring and Klein, Dec. 22-26
With the holidays quickly approaching, here are events to get residents into the holiday spirit.
Christmas Eve is Saturday and Christmas Day is Sunday, but here are some other things to know this weekend as 2016 draws to a close.
- A holiday food drive continues through the end of the year at the National Museum of Funeral History, 415 Barren Springs Drive, Houston. Visitors are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item. In exchange, visitors who support the drive receive a $2 museum discount. Regular adult admission to the museum is $10.
- Old Town Spring’s 36th annual Home for the Holidays runs through Christmas Day and features strolling performers, festive exhibits, local shops and boutiques, decorated winding paths and hot chocolate. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Mon.-Sat.), noon-5 p.m. (Sun.). - Several shows are scheduled at Dosey Doe Big Barn, 25911 I-45 N., The Woodlands, this week. Jason Easy and Ben Danaher will perform at, on Thursday, Dec. 22. The Danaher show starts at 7:30 p.m. and Eady takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. $10-$15. Jack Ingram and Kyle Hutton will perform on Friday, Dec. 23. - Big Texas Dance Saloon, 19959 Holzwarth Road, Spring, is holding a North Pole Party on Friday, Dec. 23.
