Pearland ISD appointed a couple of officials to leadership positions within the district, according to an April 10 news release from the district.

Those positions included the assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction and assistant superintendent of talent and engagement, officials said.

The gist

The assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction will be Charles Allen, who is currently the executive director of curriculum and instruction for PISD.

Sundie Dahlkamp will be the assistant superintendent of talent and engagement. Currently, she serves as the executive director of human resource services and communications for PISD.


Both positions are effective immediately, according to the news release.

Diving in deeper

Allen has worked for PISD for nearly 20 years. He served as the principal of Pearland Junior High East for seven years, according to the news release.

Dahlkamp was a teacher for PISD for nearly 25 years and served as an HR specialist before transitioning into her current role as executive director of HR services and communications, the news release notes.
